Fair Market Value (FMV) Assessment of Insurance Policies
We prepare an official report signed by an actuary to confirm the Fair Market Value of your insurance policy. We offer FMV assessment services for all types of life insurance policies (whole life, universal life, term), as well as critical illness and disability insurance.
Valuation of Usufruct or Life Estate Assets
Usufruct (or life estate) is the right to use and enjoy property owned by someone else. We can assess the value of the property subject to a usufruct right (or the remainder interest), or the value of the usufruct right itself (right of use and enjoyment / life estate). These valuations may be required for estate planning or settlement purposes.

Brigitte Breton, FSA
Brigitte is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with over 30 years of experience.
She has held positions with various insurance companies (Colonia, Gerling Global Life, Prudential of Canada) and reinsurance firms (Swiss Re, U.S. division), contributing to the development, pricing, and marketing of numerous life insurance products.
In 2008, Brigitte founded Brigitte Breton Solutions Inc. to offer her services as a consultant. Since then, she has become a recognized authority in Canada for the assessment of the Fair Market Value of insurance policies.

Brigitte has given a series of training sessions on the actuarial assessment of the Fair Market Value of insurance policies.
She has notably been a member of the Fair Market Value working group set up by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Brigitte has also delivered presentations for the Society of Actuaries, the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Chambre de la sécurité financière, and various Managing General Agents.
